Delivery

 

We deliver to Mainland UK and do our best to keep our delivery charges as competitive as possible.

We offer 2 delivery options:

  • Standard delivery by courier
  • Delivery and on-site installation (fee to be confirmed)

Standard delivery by courier

The typical delivery window is 24 hours from the day your items arrive at Furniture File (please note that many of our products have lead times associated with them - which can be clearly seen on each product page).

All items purchased that are in stock will be sent out to you within 1 to 2 days. All orders placed after 2pm (GMT) for in-stock items will be processed the next working day.

If you have ordered multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the Furniture File warehouse and they have been quality checked.

Standard delivery does not include assembly or unpacking. Occasionally the delivery company may require assistance unloading larger items.


Delivery and on-site installation

Delivery and on-site installation is available for an additional fee. The fee will depend on the delivery location and how long the installation will take to complete.

It includes a delivery appointment, room of choice delivery, assembly, installation and removal of all packing materials.

We will contact you once your order is complete to arrange a suitable date and time.

*On-site installation is not available for lighting products or for deliveries outside the UK and does not include electrical fitting for lighting, drilling or hanging mirrors and/or pictures.

Please ensure you check and measure access to your property and make us aware of any possible difficulties in delivering your order prior to dispatch. For example lift sizes, internal doors and tight spaces.

Consider things such as:

  • Red routes and parking restrictions
  • Delivery access and size restrictions
  • Suitable access to the property
  • Restricted access to the property and time restrictions

Delivery FAQs

1. When will I know when my goods have been dispatched?
You will receive a confirmation email with tracking details for all courier dispatches. We will contact you directly to arrange a suitable day and time for all UK dedicated deliveries. You'll be notified shortly before dispatch for all International freight orders travelling by air and/or sea.

2. Do you deliver items separately?
No. If you have ordered multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the Furniture File warehouse and they have been quality checked.

We dispatch completed orders unless unforeseen circumstances occur.

3. When can I expect to receive my order?
The lead times are stated for each product plus 24 hours for UK standard deliveries and 2-9 days transit time for International courier deliveries (depending on final destination country). Larger orders and bulky/oversized/fragile items travelling overseas will take between 4-6 weeks and will travel by sea. If premium shipping is chosen your freight will travel by air and will take 7-10 days once dispatched from us.

4. Can you deliver to a public space?
No, unfortunately we cannot. Your goods must be delivered to a place of residence or business address only.

5. Can my order be left in the garden/porch/shed/bin?
No. All deliveries must be signed for unless you pre-arrange this with the courier at your own risk.
